On Friday, a judge granted Taylor Swift the right to seal the picture that shows her allegedly being groped by David Mueller, former DJ of Denver’s KYGO station, by arguing that the picture would be shared for “scandalous and prurient reasons.” Though the judge agreed on this matter, it was decided that other evidence such as Swift’s deposition would not be sealed.

Back in 2015, Swift was sued by Mueller who accused her of slander and argued that Swift’s allegations against him had caused him to lose his job. Swift fought back with a countersuit against Mueller alleging sexual assault and battery.

In her deposition, Swift recounts feeling “frantic, distressed, feeling violated in a way [she] had never experienced before.” She explains that during the meet and greet, Mueller came in for a photo, placed his hand up her dress, and kept his hand there “no matter how much [she] scooted over.” Swift states, “A meet-and-greet is supposed to be a situation where you’re thanking people for coming, you’re supposed to be welcoming people into your home, which is the arena for that day, and for someone to violate that hospitality in that way, I was completely stunned.”

Swift states she is not in the least bit confused about the allegations she is making and seems ready for a fight. Though financial matters of the case remain undecided, Swift has promised that anything she receives will be donated to charities that are devoted to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault.
