Happy Monday folks! Today we want to bring attention to how the music world has responded to Afton Sterling, Philando Castile, Tamir Rice, and the many others who have suffered crime at the hands of authorities.
Artists such as Jay Z, Solange, Beyonce and Swizz Beatz have recently produced songs about rage and injustice and have asked their fans to take a moment of silence for the victims of police brutality.
Apart from responses of the music world, violence also arose as a result of these injustices. After the deaths of Sterling and Castile — both of which occurred within a 24 hour period– there were sniper killings of five police officers in Dallas who were gunned down during an anti-police protest, making it the deadliest mass incident in decades.
What do you guys think of this? We at The Hollywood Lawyer just ask for fair, just and legally-abiding treatment for all and send our hearts out to the friends and families of the victims.
