Thursday brought bad news for Spike Lee, with the BlacKkKlansman director slugged with a lawsuit for allegedly ripping off another artist’s song for use in his 1996 film Girl 6, according to TMZ.
‘Longtime friends Prince and Spike teamed up’ to make the music and the film – and both Lee and the estate of the deceased Purple Rain singer are being targeted by James Brandon’s lawsuit, according to the gossip site.
