Film Fridays- New Tax Credit Program to Keep Production in CA

la-et-ct-film-lottery-20150402-001-1Film production leaving California to seek cheaper grounds may start to slow down, as the controversial lottery program by the California Film Commission to distribute tax credits held its seventh and final lottery this past week. The new incentive program will forgo a lottery for a “jobs ratio” credit that should allow the even higher funding ($330 million) to be more widely distributed. In the end, the goal is to give out more money and keep more production local to California.
