Music Mondays- Steven Tyler tells Donald Trump’s Camp to “Dream On” and Stop Using Aerosmith Classic

Steven Tyler, front man of the legendary rock band, Aerosmith is yet another person with a bone to pick with Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump– Tyler’s lawyers have reached out to Trump for President, Inc. with a cease & desist letter to discontinue use of the song “Dream On”. Although Trump and Tyler have been unlikely buddies of sort recently, with Tyler showing up as a guest of Trump for the August Republican debate, when it comes to artistic integrity, it seems not all is fair game. Trump’s camp has played Aerosmith’s classic rock song, “Dream On” at several of his events and apparently, even if the two are friends, Tyler does not want to be seen as endorsing Trump for president. The cease & desist letters says as much: “Trump for President does not have our client’s permission to use ‘Dream On’ or any of our client’s other music in connection with the Campaign because it gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid.” Trump for President has 24 hours to acknowledge the letter or else further legal action will be taken. What this may mean for the relationship between the two, who apparently went on a trip to Russia together, remains unclear.
